How this course works (Important info to get started and stay on track)

Welcome! We are so excited to have you join us for this new course, which we've poured ALL of our hearts into!

What to expect from this course:

You'll be working through modules each week prior to our live zoom meetings June 22 - September 28, 2024, Saturdays from 10am-12pm PST.

In each module, you'll find recorded lectures plus reading assignments, links to learning resources and videos. You'll be given journal prompts each week that will enhance your learning, and eventually will be used as an outline for creating your own CBE curriculum. *Please do keep up on the journal prompts each week, as they will be a part of our group learning in zoom, as well.

You will be able to download most handouts and documents throughout this course. All handouts from https://www.theeducatedbirth.com/, are not downloadable for you, as we do not own the rights to these documents. If you like them and want to own them, you may purchase them from https://www.theeducatedbirth.com/.

You can expect to spend approximately 1- 4 hours watching pre-recorded videos each week, and that does not include journal writing, so please do let us know if you need support with organizing your schedule. Many of our previous students are reporting they are spending about 10 hours a week total study time.

Each module will open two weeks prior to our zoom meeting, giving you about 14 days to complete the week's assignments.

There will be 4 assignments due on the final day of class: 9/28/24. I have listed the assignments along with the week they are assigned. Full instructions will be found in the weeks modules.

If you need an extension for any or all of the assignments, please email [email protected]

Week 6: 15-20 minute recording of you teaching a topic

Week 11: Intervention fact sheet

Week 11: Mutual aid document for your classes

Week 16: Curriculum outline

We're looking forward to building community with you, and can't wait to get started!
