This course equips you with the knowledge and tools to design and implement a childbirth education curriculum that truly meets the needs of your community. Grounded in the principles of reproductive justice, harm reduction, and trauma-informed care, Cornerstone’s approach centers interconnectedness, resilience, joy,

and mutual aid.

What’s included in your course fee:
This comprehensive training includes 15 in-depth online hybrid modules (a blend of pre-recorded learning and live weekly Zoom meetings) plus 3 bonus pre-recorded skills workshops. Each module includes lectures, readings, journal prompts, community-building exercises, and thoughtfully designed training resources that support a wide range of learning styles.
Our Childbirth Educator Training provides step-by-step guidance to help you build a childbirth education curriculum tailored to YOUR community’s needs.
Each module explores childbirth education through an intersectional, anti-oppressive lens, centering trauma-informed, inclusive, and justice-based approaches. You’ll learn to design non-hierarchical, community-rooted classes that reflect your values and your learners' realities.

We use the green bottle sliding scale framework to price our courses equitably. We give thanks to Alexis J. Cunningfolk for developing the green bottle method. "For a sliding scale to work it relies on the principles of truthfulness, respect for complexity, and accountability. I do not ask for income verification. I trust my students and clients to be honest. Community thrives when accountability is a central value, because that is where trust grows and depth work can be done. Teachers deserve to get paid and students deserve classes which recognize the multiple realities of economic access and privilege that exist." - AJC

“Juli and Nickie’s CBE facilitators course is so, so much more than just learning the facts and physiology of prenatal care, labor and birth, and the postpartum periods. They teach you how to use such skills as trauma informed care, inclusivity, body positivity, and harm reduction frameworks to be able to give and inform your own clients of the full spectrum of birth - so they can go into their own birthing experience knowing all of their rights, to fully prepare them for the journey ahead, and creating better birthing outcomes. I cannot even begin to explain how important this training is for birth workers and for the movement of reproductive justice. BIG things happening here!”
